Employer Benefits & Business planning
Employer Benefits Planning
Are you looking to…
… evaluate, select, and coordinate the investment options in your company retirement plan with your personal financial plan?
… explore how to maximize your pension benefits?
… determine how to maximize the value for your company’s employer benefit dollars?
… evaluate the opportunity to enroll in voluntary employer benefits such as optional life, disability, child life insurance, spousal life insurance, or long-term care insurance?
… compare insurance available through your employer with a private insurance plan without worrying about *being sold a product that pays your advisor a commission?
… determine if you should utilize your employer’s core retirement plan options or use a “self directed” brokerage window where you can access more investment choices?
… see if you should get rid of some of your voluntary employer insurance benefits and repurpose that money towards other priorities?
We can help you determine how to coordinate and maximize your employer benefits with your financial life plan.
*WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE COMMISIONS AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST?
Since our team is not insurance licensed, we will not accept commissions or other sources of revenue that are a result of your decisions to purchase an insurance policy. This allows our team to take an objective approach to helping you evaluate voluntary insurance offerings through your employer.
Our commitment is to represent your best interest when making decisions about your insurance and employer benefits. Working with a financial planner who does not accept commissions eliminates a conflict of interest to sell you an insurance policy that you may not need. Conflicts of interest can bias or even sabotage the advice you receive from a financial advisor or planner.
There are many competent licensed insurance agents who can help you find and place insurance policies. We can work with your agent, or provide a referral to one, who can help you shop the market for a solution that meets your needs. Our role in the insurance process is to help your agent understand your protection goals and your budget so there are clear guidelines for what you do or do not need.
